Proposal Format and Scoring Criteria
Scoring Criteria
Project Proposals will be evaluated for the extent to which they articulate either a strong research design or an innovative creative activity project. Students must propose a project that can be completed in time to present at UCR's annual Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity, scheduled for the first week in May 2014. The Faculty Review Committee will be reading applications from a variety of disciplines, therefore Project Proposals should provide clear definitions for any terms that may only be understood by experts in the particular field.
The Project Proposals will be scored according to the following selection criteria, with a maximum score of 100 points.

- Research Methodology or Creative Context
- Potential Implications
- Implementation Timeline
- Budget Development
- References
- Faculty Mentor Letter of Recommendation
- Maximum Score is 100 points
